Lawmaker wants to make minor gender-affirming treatment illegal

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida consultant took to Twitter Monday morning to declare that he intends to introduce laws making it a felony to offer gender-affirming therapies to minors.

In his tweet, Florida Rep. Randy High-quality (R–Brevard County) mentioned he would draft the laws for the state’s subsequent legislative session. High-quality mentioned the potential invoice would make offering a minor gender-affirming treatment or surgical procedure “felony little one abuse punishable by jail/lack of medical license.”
