April 15 (UPI) — A former Indian politician and his brother had been shot lifeless on dwell TV on Saturday whereas flanked by police on the way in which to a close-by hospital for a checkup after he was jailed for a kidnapping plot.

Atiq Ahmed, who served within the Indian parliament from 2004 to 2009, was being escorted to a hospital in Prayagraj when he was surrounded by journalists looking for to interview him earlier than his scheduled appointment, The Instances of India reported.
